01
Content is encrypted on your device
Direct-chat and private-group text is encrypted before delivery. Attachments receive separate file keys; those keys travel inside the encrypted conversation. The service stores ciphertext for these features, rather than their plaintext content.
02
What the service can see
Livara can process account identifiers, verified email, device sessions, conversation participants, group membership, delivery and read state, timestamps, IP addresses and ciphertext sizes. End-to-end encryption does not hide all metadata.
03
Optional features have their own boundaries
Public channels are readable by the service. Content you choose to send to an AI provider or bot crosses an additional trust boundary. Optional server recording of a call uses transport encryption instead of end-to-end encryption while recording is active.
04
Controls that matter in practice
Compare safety numbers through another trusted channel, review active sessions and protect your device. Store your recovery phrase securely. Encryption cannot prevent an unlocked device, malware or a recipient from exposing messages.
